Tish Wakefield - Chapter Leader

Tish Wakefield - Chapter Leader

Tish Wakefield developed her first web page to support her management consulting practice in beautiful Nassau, Bahamas. She has 15 years experience working as a researcher, corporate business developer, consultant, and program leader. She has over 16 years experience working as a licensed clinical social worker and has a private practice online. Tish earned a BA in Biology from Wellesley College, an SM in Applied Biology from MIT, an MSW in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University, and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin. She is a published cancer researcher with well known scientists from MIT and Yale School of Medicine, and assists a researcher studying the employment issues of mid-career professionals. In leading the Girl Develop It Lehigh Valley chapter, Tish sees a great opportunity to help build a diverse, collaborative entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Lehigh Valley.

Kim White - Chapter Leader

Kim White - Chapter Leader

Kim White taught herself HTML and CSS in Chicago when the internet was in its infancy, and has been developing and maintaining web pages ever since. To formalize her education, she earned an associates degree in web development from Northampton Community College. She owns Pixelpaper.net, a company she began in 1999 to provide businesses, graphic design firms, churches and non-profit organizations affordable web solutions. Kim leads GDILV's WordPress classes, hosts our signature Code & Coffee co-working events, and teaches HTML and CSS. Our students LOVE working with Kim one-on-one, in small groups at our Code & Coffee Study Groups, and in our classes! Kim also leads Lehigh Valley WordPress Meetup. You'll find Kim volunteering her expertise as a GDILV teaching assistant when she is not leading us or teaching classes.

Michelle Suranofsky

Michelle Suranofsky

Michelle Suranofsky is a Sr. Developer at Lehigh University where she implements open source software and develops custom web applications for the library. Michelle has 20 years of programming experience and has taught PHP & JavaScript as an adjunct instructor at Northampton Community College. She has a BS in Computer Science from Muhlenberg College and an MS in Instructional Technology from Lehigh. She loves programming and is excited to work with GDILV!

Rob Smith

Rob Smith

Rob Smith is a senior software developer and architect with more than 16 years experience as a software services business owner, software architect, web developer, and application developer. He is the organizer of Lehigh Valley Javascripters and actively participates in other developer meetups in the Lehigh Valley, Bucks County, and in Philadelphia. Rob earned a BS in computer science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. You'll see Rob teaching his favorite JavaScript classes as well as teaching and assisting GDILV's core curriculum.

Jeff Minton

Jeff Minton

Jeff is a software engineer at Wingspan Technology in Blue Bell, PA. He is President of the Board of Directors of Make Lehigh Valley and recently co-founded Crowdplsr, a web-based software platform that allows individual fans and event organizers to select, promote, and fund crowd-generated ideas for concerts and events. The platform provides a tool to not only gain momentum and interest in fan-inspired events, but also allows event organizers to test and pre-sell tickets for events before making significant investments in booking performers. Crowdplsr is a Ben Franklin TechVenture resident company. Jeff earned bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science at Kutztown University where he worked as a graduate teaching assistant. When he's not teaching for GDI, you can find Jeff solving problems with software, dabbling in electronics, woodworking, or smithing something with his homemade forge.

Digital Marketer Extraordinaire!

Natalia Morais is a digital marketing specialist at Grand View Health in Sellersville, PA. She has more than 10 years of marketing experience having served as a social media manager and digital media director for a mid-sized marketing agency, adjunct professor for Ursinus College, private consultant for small businesses and Wordpress guru for a non-profit community hospital. Natalia earned a BS in Communications & PR from Universidade Estadual de Londrina in her home country, Brazil, and MBA from Rosemont College. With a passion to learn, grow and develop professionally and spiritually, Natalia continues to volunteer at her local church, mentor young professionals and support empowering web-based organizations such as GDILV.
