Kristen Curtze is a senior web developer at Pharos Systems who loves to wear many hats to solve problems. She was raised around technology, sports, and four brothers that indirectly helped her to ignore the gender stereotypes in the world. Kristen followed her computing interests to a degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New Media - Interactive Development and a Masters in Communication and Media Technologies. She wanted to find a way to show women how rewarding development can be so she decided to bring a GDI chapter to Rochester with the help of Liz Gombert. GDIROC focuses on bridging the gaps in the industry and empowering others to build great solutions.
Hi! I'm Swati and I am a Test Engineer. I like automating test scripts and finding better ways to do it. In my free time I like to cook, workout and dream about being a black belt someday.

Alexandra Atzl is a web developer who loves exploring front-end technologies and bringing compelling designs to life. With a degree in Media Arts & Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and experience in all things digital, she likes to straddle the line between design and development. When she's not hunched over her laptop, Alex likes to run, practice yoga, and attempt all the DIY craft projects she can find.
Liz Gombert is an interaction designer with a passion to create compelling digital and personal experiences. She wanted to encourage this passion with others in the Rochester community alongside her partner-in-crime Kristen Curtze. Through Girl Develop It, this duo will offer inviting, hands-on classes for all who want to learn how to code and create exceptional user experiences. Liz attended the Rochester Institute of Technology for her undergraduate degree in New Media Design & Imaging and for her Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
After teaching various design courses at the Rochester Institute of Technology for two years, Liz ventured out to gain more experience. She is currently the Creative Design Execution Lead at Paychex. While loving every pixel pushing moment, she has two adorable Bengals at home to bring the catnip to. When she is not creating experiences for large corporations, she can be found playing soccer year round, training for half marathons, or in an airport awaiting her next adventure to see the world and experience new cultures.
