Amber is a self-employed Product Management and Digital Advertising consultant. She is also the founder of Endorsevent, a platform connecting event organizers and brands with sponsorship opportunities.
Amber started the GDI DC chapter because of her passion for helping women interested in web development, like her, find their footing. She is honored and excited to be involved in an organization that helps women of all different backgrounds gain the training necessary to code.
Amber is a Bachelor of Marketing, a Master of Information Technology and a Master of Business Administration.
When not working she enjoys traveling, going to the movies, exploring new gadgets, hanging out with family and friends and anything adventurous.
Mariella is a techie/communications/data ninja. She is currently working with Code for Progress, a nonprofit that provides a pipeline for women and people of color interested in becoming software engineers. She did the program as a fellow a year ago and they loved her so much they hired her on the staff! She has worked for Congress, the Department of Defense, and Georgetown incorporating or improving upon existing technology and has a BA from NYU in Politics and Economics and a MA from GTown in Communications.
Mariella has a interest in emerging tech, communications, and social impact initiatives and is launching two cool apps idea for members of the hard of hearing community this year. She is a firm believer in accessibility, open source, women of color in tech, strategic communications, community building, and technivism.
When she’s not working, she can be found exploring a new tacos spot or looking for travel deals to Asia or South America.
